Project Theme: Augmented Reality and Virtual Keyboards with Geotagging
Augmented Reality is an emerging technology that merges the real and virtual worlds. Like other new technologies there are challenges in its development. One of the main challenges in AR is the ability to create online content. As part of this course students will assist a PhD student in ongoing research into the design of usable AR systems.
In previous quarters students worked to help develop tools for testing text entry in AR. Students worked to develop a web based implementation of a gesture based text entry method along with tools for conducting user testing. This quarter students will work on merging some of these tools and developing a geotagging system for use by researchers for further testing.
